Install the desktop app
The desktop app is the same room as oioxo.com with a real terminal, bundled language plugins and — on Windows with an NVIDIA GPU — the native engine. It signs in with the same account and updates itself.
Current version 1.0.6 (5 September 2026). The web tier is on 1.0.7; the desktop follows on its next release. Files and SHA-512 checksums come from the update feeds the app itself reads: latest.yml and latest-mac.yml. The download page shows them.
Windows 10 / 11 (x64)
OIOXO-Setup-1.0.6.exe, 161 MB. Run the installer.
The installer is not code-signed yet — we have not bought a certificate. SmartScreen shows a blue panel. Click More info, then Run anyway. To verify the file first: certutil -hashfile OIOXO-Setup-1.0.6.exe SHA512 and compare with the feed.
macOS
Apple Silicon: OIOXO-1.0.6-mac-arm64.dmg, 335 MB. Intel: OIOXO-1.0.6-mac-x64.dmg, 340 MB. Open the disk image and drag OIOXO into Applications.
The app is not notarized yet. When Gatekeeper refuses it, open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the message about OIOXO and click Open Anyway — or right-click the app in Applications, choose Open, then Open again. To verify: shasum -a 512 OIOXO-1.0.6-mac-arm64.dmg.
Linux
Not shipped yet. The web tier at oioxo.com in Chrome or Firefox is the full product on Linux.
After install
- The app checks for updates at launch and installs the next version on quit.
- Sign in (optional) from the Account seat: it opens your browser and hands the app a device token, so Pro works on this machine too. Everything else stays on this device.
- Terminal (Ctrl+7) is a real shell in the project folder; the agent’s shell tool confirms under Balanced.
- On Windows with an NVIDIA GPU, the first on-device run offers the native CUDA engine (~484 MB). AMD and Intel machines run CPU-first. macOS uses the same tiers as the browser today.
